Mr. Cossitor has been the Drama Director at Altoona Area High School since 2014 (after serving a year as the assistant director), where he has enjoyed watching the drama program grow and thrive. He has directed (with the help of a small army of co-advisors and parents) all of the school's productions since then, including The Nerd, Almost,Maine, and the award-winning Aida and Hairspray. He also teaches sophomore english courses and theatre arts during the schoolday.

Mr. C's Biography
Mr. Cossitor has taken a very roundabout path to becoming a drama instructor. He is a 2012 graduate of the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State where he studied oboe with Professor Tim Hurtz and earned a Bachelors in Music Education. After graduating, he realized theater was his true passion, and he has never looked back.
As an actor, Mr. Cossitor has has frequently been seen on the Mishler stage in leading roles in such shows as The Secret Garden (Colin), A Christmas Carol (Fred), and Sweeney Todd (Beadle Bamford). As a pit orchestra musician, he has performed in too many productions to list, with his favorites including Penn State Centre Stage's Kiss Me Kate and P&J Productions' Les Miserables. Mr. Cossitor is also a member of Rail City Improv, Altoona's premiere professional improvisation group which has been performing throughout the area to rave reviews.
In addition to these dramatic endeavors, Mr. Cossitor continues to be active in the central Pennsylvania area as a woodwinds teacher and freelance oboist/english hornist. He currently holds the English Horn Chair with the Nittany Valley Symphony and is called to perform with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, Johnstown Symphony and Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra.
