Mrs. Nanette M. Anslinger

For the 2016-2017 school year, Mrs. Anslinger teaches two sections of Introduction to Business and one section of Business Law and Ethics. The rest of her school day is concentrated on the School-to-Career/Cooperative Education program.  Mrs. Anslinger is the program coordinator and currently has 31 senior students enrolled this school year.  To learn more about the School-to-Career program, please visit the School-to-Career page under "About AAHS" listed above.
 
Mrs. Anslinger's Career and Personal Info
 
Mrs. Anslinger's career started after she received an Associates Degree in Business in 1994 starting her career as a medical secretary.  Mrs. Anslinger worked in the medical/business field for 14 years before becoming a teacher.  In 1997, Mrs. Anslinger married her husband, Max and together had twin girls, Megan and Maria, who were born in February of 2000.  When their daughters turned five, Mrs. Anslinger went back to school and received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Mount Aloysius College in 2008.  Mrs. Anslinger has taught Business and Computer classes to preschool students at The Learning Express (AASD), elementary students in Lewistown (Mifflin County School District), middle school students at Spring Cove Middle School, high school students at Glendale Jr.-Sr. High School and AAHS, and adult learners at YTI Career Institute.  
 
Most recently, Mrs. Anslinger received her Cooperative Education certification in August of 2015 and her Masters Degree in Workforce Education and Development in May of 2016 from Pennsylvania State University - Main Campus.    
 
In her spare time, Mrs. Anslinger likes to relax at home with her husband of 19 years and twin daughters who attend AAHS.  They just added a new addition to the family this past summer, a Giant Schnauzer named Bella.
