Ms. Jamie Dyer

Ms. Jamie Dyer, a transplant to Pennsylvania and the Altoona Area High School alike, is an English teacher, the K.I.N.D. program facilitator, Gifted Support provider, and the assistant cheerleading and Sparkle coach. She is the first person from her family to receive both a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English from West Virginia University and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Potomac State College of WVU. Let’s go Mountaineers!

Ms. Dyer previously taught English, Reading, and Creative Writing in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in the wild and wonderful Mountain State for eight years before transferring to the Keystone State. Eventually, Ms. Dyer hopes to obtain a second Master’s degree in School Counseling or, perhaps, a Doctorate of Education. Meanwhile, she simply enjoys teaching and helping her students.
