Getting to Know Mrs. Hetrick

I have been working in the Altoona Area School District since August 2012. I graduated from Juniata College with honors with a bachelor degree in English Secondary Education. In addition, I graduated from Gannon University in 2016 with a masters in Reading.

While teaching at the junior high, I was the drama club director/advisor for 6 years. I currently teach 9th grade English Language Arts as well as some introduction to theatre and stagecraft courses.

I look forward to a great school year, getting to know your children, and working with them to become better readers, writers, and thinkers.
