Attention any Female Seniors interested in a career in transportation:  The Central Pa Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) is offering several scholarship opportunities. To qualify applicants must be a female student and a US citizen, must be a student residing in PA and must be considering a career related to transportation such as CADD Specialist, Surveyor, Architect, Archaeologist, Construction, Public Relations are just to name a few.  Stop by the Guidance office and pick up information from the literature rack.  Application Deadline is December 9th so don't delay.


Attention Seniors:  The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA is offering 11 scholarships totaling $12,500 for graduating seniors going to college or vocational training.  You must have a diagnosis of epilepsy/seizure disorder from a physician.   Please stop by the guidance office literature rack to pick up more information about these scholarships!  Deadline is April 3, 2023, no exceptions!


Attention Students:  Also available for interested students in grades 9 through 12, is an essay contest entitled “What does Americanism Mean to Me” brought to you by the American Legion.  This contest awards $3,500 for first place, $3,000 for second place and $2,500 for Third Place.   Deadline is January 9, 2023


Attention Seniors:  For Seniors who have been employed at one of the Member Clubs of Western Pennsylvania Golf Association for at least 2 seasons please stop by the guidance suite and pick up a Scholarship Application.  Deadline is November 30, 2022


Attention Students: The Pa American Legion has provided us with information on their High School Oratorical Scholarship which awards $7,500 for first place, $5,000 for second and $4,000 for the second runner-up.  Stop by Guidance to pick up an application which is due no later than December 4, 2022




  • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Applications for the Carol Jo Sicheneder "Mrs. S" $4,000 Memorial Scholarship are now available outside of the counseling office. This scholarship is for scholarship is for Cosmetology students only. Completed applications must be returned to the Salon professional Academy by April 1, 2023.
The 2023 PSECU Scholarhsip
This scholarship program helps graduating high school seniors reduce the financial burden of pursuing post-secondary education. The 2023 PSECU Scholarship is reserved for students who are PSECU members by December 31, 2022.

Rudy J. and Annamae Labor Memorial Scholarship
This fund will provide scholarships annually for newly enrolling students who will be attending South Hills School of Business & Technology.
will be 10 scholarships available. Each scholarship will total $7,000 to be applied toward the cost of tuition and books. Award money will be distributed evenly over six (6) terms.
Applicant must be accepted into a full time specialized associate’s degree program at South Hills School of Business & Technology.

The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Women's Transportation Scholarship Program
The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) is announcing the continuation of its local and national scholarship program for the 2022-2023 school year. The application period is NOW OPEN through December 9, 2022.
There are three qualification requirements to be considered for the annual scholarships:
  1. Applicant must be a female student and US citizen
  2. Applicant must be a student currently residing in PA or attending high school, trade school, junior college, undergraduate school, or graduate school in the Commonwealth.
  3. Applicant should be considering a career related to transportation may apply.

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
Applications for the 2023 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program are open now through January 5, 2023. 
This $10,000 renewable scholarship opportunity-- up to $40,000 per recipient-- is open to high school seniors nationwide who showcase leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Recipients also join the Reagan Academy network of exceptional students and young professionals who desire to lead, serve, and have a positive impact on their communities.
